It charted at #21 on the Hot 100, banking 168,000 downloads. I'm diverse — I can write raps to any type of song."</P><P>MTV News recently chatted with Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, about the album's potential next single, and he shared that "As Long as You Love Me" was at the top of the list of candidates to get the official single treatment.</P><P>"We haven't picked the next single," he said. "We're gonna see how different songs react off the album. 'As Long as You Love Me' [with Big Sean] is getting a lot of love, so is 'All Around the World' [with Ludacris]. So is 'Die in Your Arms.' 'Beauty and the Beat' is coming with the album. We're gonna see what the next single is. We're gonna figure that out."</P><P>In addition to preparing to shoot a video for the track, Bieber is also still in promo mode, spreading the word about his album, as well as prepping for his world tour, which kicks off in September in the U.S.</P><P>"The tour starts at the end of September ... by the end of 2013 we're gonna hit the whole world," Braun explained. "He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s. And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.</P><P>"It's just really exciting," he continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. The singer, currently on her <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">controversial <i>Born This Way</i> Tour</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga" target="_blank">tweeted</a> that she will make the announcement this fall. "Exciting news little monsters! I've played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X," she wrote.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Gaga has, in fact, been playing the record for her bosses and inner circle. She also revealed on Twitter that she spun the new music, her follow-up to 2011's <i>Born This Way,</i> for her longtime pal Lady Starlight. And her co-manager Vincent Herbert had some of his own <a href="/news/articles/1686196/lady-gaga-new-album.jhtml">teases for Little Monsters</a> in an interview he gave late last month.</P><P>"[It's] just [an] insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her," he said. "We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great."</P><P>Though it's unclear how far along in the recording process she is for the release, in an interview with MTV News in December, she already had the <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">highly anticipated album title</a> in mind. "I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she said. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. "I get a little bit of anxiety thinking about that right now. I wanna just always try to outdo ourselves, our songs. They're already incredible songs. But I feel like she's so young," he said, adding that at the time, the record was in its early stages and that "there's a lot of room to grow."</P><P>"The last record we made in bus stops and hotel rooms," he said. "Wherever she's at, we'll make it."</p>

Jessie J Sued For Copyright Infringement Over 'Domino'
Loomis & the Lust think her track sounds a lot like their 'Bright Red Chords.'

Jessie J is being sued by California's Loomis & the Lust, who claim that her track "Domino" sounds a lot like their song "Bright Red Chords."
The band's lead singer, Will Loomis, alleges that Jessie J's biggest Stateside hit has a few striking similarities to portions of the band's own 2008 track. He is suing not only Jessie, but also Universal Music Group, Lava Records and Universal Republic Records. "Mr. Loomis never consented to the use of his song," lawyer Chris Arledge wrote in a statement to Billboard. "And we look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."
In April, Loomis uploaded a video of the band's song with Jessie's vocals laid on it, but the clip has since been removed on "copyright grounds." However, a music video for "Bright Red Chords" remains online, allowing fans to determine if Loomis has a case against the British songstress.
Reps for Jessie J and producer Dr. Luke had not responded to MTV News' request for comment by press time.
"Domino" is featured on Jessie's debut studio album, Who You Are, which dropped last year. It features songwriting and production credits from A-listers like Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, Max Martin and Cirkut. "Domino" reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 24 weeks on the chart.
"People have heard 'Domino' and said, 'It's nothing like you.' But I'm like, 'Well, the album's really eclectic anyway, and I never go into the studio and say, 'I wanna do another song that's like "Price Tag" or another song like "Do It Like a Dude," ' " Jessie told MTV's Buzzworthy blog last year. "I listened to a lot of Whitney [Houston] and Prince ... and we kinda just wanted to write a song that's timeless, that's fun and uplifting."

Britney Spears Has Tearful Reunion With Former Duet Partner On 'X Factor'

 hits the air, we've already come to expect some serious drama from new judge <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a>. But in one of those only-in-reality-TV moments, Spears shed some genuine tears on Sunday during audition rounds in San Francisco when she was confronted with a voice and face from her distant past.</P><P><a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20604974,00.html" target="_blank"><I>People</I></a> magazine reported that Spears got emotional when a male contestant hit the stage at Oracle Arena, telling fellow panelists Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and fellow newbie Demi Lovato, "I know him ... We did a duet together 10 years ago." A source told the magazine that when the man stepped on the stage, "You could see that Britney recognized him straight away ... She got this huge smile on her face and her eyes lit up. It was so sweet."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Britney Spears Explains Why She Wanted To Be A Part Of 'X Factor'" id="vid:769620" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>While <I>People</I> did not reveal the man's identity, Spears superfan Jordan Miller of fan site <a href="http://www.breatheheavy.com/2012/06/don-philip-drama-at-the-x-factor/" target="_blank">Breathe Heavy</a> confirmed that the auditioner was none other than Don Philip. The one-time aspiring new pop revolution singer performed a duet with Britney on the treacly ballad "I Will Still Love You," from her 1999 debut album, <I>...Baby One More Time</I>.</P><P>A spokesperson for the show declined to comment on the singer's identity when asked for comment.</P><P>The blast from her past got more emotional when Phillip revealed to the judges and audience, "I'm gay." He continued, "At the time I didn't think I was worth ... I didn't think you thought it was OK that I am gay." Spears was reportedly quick to voice her support for Phillip, saying, "I think it is fine you are gay."</P><P>The unnamed source told <I>People</I> that when Phillip started crying and said, "he thought he'd never see her again and that he'd had a lot to deal with, Britney was comforting him to calm him." Though she was compassionate and warm with Phillip, the source said that the singer was clearly a bit shaken by the unexpected run-in.</P><P>"She's been through a lot in those 10 years, too, so it must have been a shock for her to see him," the source said. "You could tell she was emotional and she really felt for him especially when he was crying, but she also stayed calm." Even with the drama, Spears reportedly gave a very straightforward critique, though it is unknown if Phillip made the cut.</P><P>Philip, a Miami, Florida, native who tried to ride the same late-'90s teen pop wave that made superstars out of Spears, Christina Aguilera, 'NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, has spent the time since the duet grinding away at a music career that never reached the heights of his former singing partner. The one-time Jive Records star-in-the-making has sung back-up for Gloria Estefan and toured with Spears early in her career, and like "The Voice" singer <a href="/news/articles/1684782/the-voice-christina-aguilera-tony-lucca.jhtml">Tony Lucca</a>
 and Aguilera, maybe he was hoping that a reunion with his former pop pal would provide the boost he's been looking for.</P><P>Apparently, though, the "Factor" audition didn't go as Philip planned. According to a series of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/donphilip" target="_blank">Facebook</a> posts, Don was disappointed with how things went and wrote, "Tonight i might have sealed my music career fate according to a certain music mogul. I tryed to just be real and instead it totally got turned around on me," he said. "Perhaps this was not the place for me to reveal my very soul and obstacles of my past. Certainly not the place for a reunion ... I promise I only had good intentions in mind."</P><P>He said his voice "froze" when he began to sing and was never able to recover from what he felt was a "really hardcore interrogation" from what he anonymously described as "two pompous arrogant men."</P><P>He continued, "I guess I am not as tough skinned as I thought ... Wait it gets worse ... when I looked into the very eyes of my old label mate and saw she too was sad. I knew the whole situation was spinning out of control.. my heart broke."</P><P>On Monday, Philip posted another note, wondering if Cowell might give him another shot, explaining that he was "so exhausted and could not sleep [the] night before," because he was so scared to face Spears. He also referred to the "heavy burden" he was carrying, seemingly referring to his coming out, and following four hours of interviews he said his voice was just spent.</P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></p>

Alessandra Ambrosio Shares First Pictures of Baby Noah
Alessandra Ambrosio took to Facebook this evening to share pictures of the newest addition to her family, baby Noah. She wrote, "Wanted to give you all a sneak peek of Noah and so thankful to pampers. By taking these pictures we helped out UNICEF and those in need." 'Avengers' Sunk 'Battleship,' Director Peter Berg Says

If there's one thing you can count on Earth's mightiest heroes to accomplish, it's kicking alien ass. Iron Man, Captain America and the rest of the gang didn't just destroy the extraterrestrial threat in their movie, either — they also sunk the aliens of "Battleship" without even knowing it.
"Battleship" director Peter Berg spoke with MTV News recently about his thoughts on the box-office earnings of his latest big-budget blockbuster. The Hasbro adaptation has earned $235 million overseas, but only $63 million at the domestic box office — an outcome Berg pins on the outstanding success of "Marvel's The Avengers."
"The movie kicked butt internationally, but we kind of ran into a wall when 'Avengers' refused to go away," he told MTV News. " 'The Avengers' outperformed everything. It was impossible for 'Battleship' to get any oxygen."
Asked if he would do anything differently with the "Battleship" release knowing what he knows now, Berg had one idea in mind.
"I would have loved to have come out three weeks before 'The Avengers' domestically, like we did internationally," he said. "We did OK, but in hindsight — which my grandmother used to say is worth about a bucket of spit — we would have [released the movie] ahead of 'The Avengers,' not realizing it would have become, I think, the second biggest film in history behind 'Avatar.' "
"Avengers" is actually the third-highest-grossing film of all time behind "Titanic," but who's counting? Berg is. When asked if he'd be interested in filming a "Battleship" sequel, he had a numbers-oriented answer in mind.
"What I need everyone to do is go see 'Battleship' now that they've seen 'Avengers' five times. If they do that, we can definitely make a sequel," he said. " 'Battleship' is a film that I would definitely like to do a sequel to. I loved making that film. I had a great time with it."

Carly Rae Jepsen Gets 'Giddy' Talking About LMFAO Collabo

Carly Rae Jepsen has captured America's collective eardrums with her inescapable hit "Call Me Maybe," teasing just what pop lovers might hear on her in-the-works full-length debut, set for release in September.
In addition to her duet with Owl City on "Good Time" and an already-teased collaboration with her boss, Justin Bieber, the singer has shared that she is also working with LMFAO party rocker Redfoo on the fall release.
"I ran into Redfoo from LMFAO at the airport," she told Billboard magazine, via Ace Showbiz, about the collaboration, explaining that they've been writing together over the phone. So he called her, no maybes about it. "And we've been writing a song together today. Over the phone.
"What I really love about music is that despite all this craziness, the creative process remains the same," she continued. "And that same exciting feeling I had before anybody knew me, when I was just beginning to work on 'Call Me Maybe,' is the same feeling I had today with Redfoo from LMFAO."
Later this year, in addition to dropping her album, she'll also be hitting the road with Bieber on his massive Believe tour, kicking off in September.
"It's not that I didn't have my dream show built in my head before all of this — it's just that I never had the resources together to actually put it to life," she said. "I feel very giddy with the idea of making my imagination take form and being able to put on a show where people leave feeling like they've experienced something."

Justin Bieber Confirms Next Single
Singer will drop Big Sean collabo, 'As Long as You Love Me,' in July.

Justin Bieber has officially picked his next single off Believe. The singer will release his Big Sean collabo, "As Long as You Love Me," to radio on July 9, Billboard.com reports.
The song is the first official follow-up to his single "Boyfriend" and has already seen some movement on the charts after Bieber released it as a promo single on June 11 in the lead-up to his June 19 album release. It charted at #21 on the Hot 100, banking 168,000 downloads. The song will get a major push on Top 40 and rhythmic radio stations in the coming weeks.
"Bieber's a true G. People may not know that," Big Sean told MTV News about working with the 18-year-old on the Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins-produced track. "He is a good dude, man. And I ain't toning down nothing. I'm diverse — I can write raps to any type of song."
MTV News recently chatted with Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, about the album's potential next single, and he shared that "As Long as You Love Me" was at the top of the list of candidates to get the official single treatment.
"We haven't picked the next single," he said. "We're gonna see how different songs react off the album. 'As Long as You Love Me' [with Big Sean] is getting a lot of love, so is 'All Around the World' [with Ludacris]. So is 'Die in Your Arms.' 'Beauty and the Beat' is coming with the album. We're gonna see what the next single is. We're gonna figure that out."
In addition to preparing to shoot a video for the track, Bieber is also still in promo mode, spreading the word about his album, as well as prepping for his world tour, which kicks off in September in the U.S.
"The tour starts at the end of September ... by the end of 2013 we're gonna hit the whole world," Braun explained. "He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s. And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.
"It's just really exciting," he continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."

"I was shopping and she was doing some private shopping and she came out and we kind of crossed each other's [paths] and, [I was like] 'Is that Amy Winehouse?' ... And before you know it we talked and exchanged information and I invited her to a show ... and she didn't come."</P><P>Winehouse was out of the country at the time and sent a relative to the gig in her stead, but that missed connection has stuck with Usher to this day. "It could have been one of the most incredible records ever," he said. "A voice like that comes once in a lifetime."</P><P>Usher still wanted to get in the studio with Remi, and though it was a hard time for the producer, the pair met in New York and worked it out. "The style and the sound that we worked, I felt would definitely compliment what he does as a producer and what I have to offer."</P><P>The story that the two explored on "Sins of My Father" was a new one for Usher, who had never spoken about his feelings for his dad in song before. Maroon 5 Get In The Ring For 'One More Night' Video Tonight!
New video, directed by Peter Berg, premieres at 7:53 p.m. ET on MTV, followed by a Q&A with the band on MTV.com.

In Maroon 5's brand-new "One More Night" video, frontman Adam Levine plays a boxer who takes a licking both in and out of the ring. And while one aspect of his performance was all acting (that would be his scenes with actress Minka Kelly), the other was very real indeed.
That's according to "One More Night" director Peter Berg, who sat down with MTV News to talk about the clip ahead of its debut — tonight (June 25) at 7:53 p.m. on MTV as part of "MTV First: Maroon 5" — and made it very clear that Levine pulled no punches during the filming. In fact, he even took a couple punches from one of the best in the business.
"Adam Levine learned how to box here, at the world-famous Wild Card Boxing Gym, home of Manny Pacquiao and [trainer] Freddie Roach," Berg said. "The idea for the video was Adam's. He called me and said, 'I wrote this treatment. Would you read it?' He had this idea, sort of comparing fighting to love, and so I called Freddie, who was a friend of mine, and I said, 'I need you to train this guy.' "
"Of course, Freddie was working Manny Pacquiao at the time [for this month's bout against Tim Bradley], so we had to find one of his trainers, and so we found this great trainer and put him through a 10-day boxing program," he continued. "And the truth is, this kid is just a natural athlete. He took to it very quickly, and we were able to get into sparring scenarios in the ring. ... We had to see how Adam would react to somebody punching him in the face, whether he'd run out screaming and call his bodyguards. But I remember the first time he got cracked in the head, he had a big smile on his face."
Levine definitely wasn't smiling through his scenes with Kelly, who plays the mother of his newborn child. We won't spoil how their relationship plays out, but let's just say she doesn't think his boxing career is going to succeed anytime soon. Though, as Berg explained, shooting those scenes was about as tough as the "One More Night" video got, because from the first sparring session to the final edit, he was definitely feeling the love on this one.
"Minka's a fan of Maroon 5 and she said she'd do it, and we had a great time shooting the video," he said. "I was always a Maroon 5 fan, and now they're in my heart and they're a part of my family."

Tony Parker Files $20 Million Suit Over Drake/Chris Brown Club Brawl
Suit against W.i.P. club was filed on Monday in connection with injuries NBA star suffered in the melee.

One of the most high-profile victims to emerge from the shattered glass wreckage of the nightclub brawl between members of Chris Brown and Drake's crews at New York nightclub W.i.P. has filed a multimillion-dollar suit against the SoHo night spot.
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, claims in a $20 million lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court earlier this week that the club's owners are responsible for the "corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries," according to the New York Post.
A spokesperson for the club told MTV News on Friday (June 22) that they were unable to comment on the suit because they have not yet been served with any papers. In addition, the club, whose owner, Jonathan Cantor, was arrested on unrelated charges tied to two outstanding warrants, continues to be closed on a temporary basis.
Parker's suit claims that W.i.P.'s owners should have known better than to let the two romantic rivals for Rihanna's affection into the club at the same time. Lawyer David Jaroslawicz added that the extent of Parker's injuries are not yet known, but that eye injuries "certainly don't improve your outside shot." The NBA star and one of the key members of the championship team is slated to play for his native France in this summer's Olympics.
Neither musician is named in the lawsuit, but it does mention them as being the catalyst for the fight. "The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake's entourage and Brown's entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two," the suit reads. "She's been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble," Jaroslawicz said of Rihanna.
According to the suit, Parker wasn't sitting with either party, but has said he was with "my friend Chris Brown" when the troubles started and claimed that he and his friends took some blows before "they started throwing bottles everywhere."
The baller said he's been sidelined for a week as he recuperates from the injury with the help of a "therapeutic" contact lens. While he said his eye felt better at first, it began to hurt when he landed in France to practice with his team for the games, forcing him to visit the ER for more treatment. "I'll be missing the start of the French team because I can't do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops," he told the paper.
Police have not made any arrests over the incident, but they have subpoenaed the security tapes from the club and are reviewing them.
