Bruce Willis Is As 'Kick-Ass' As Ever In 'Die Hard 5'

One thing's for sure when the next "Die Hard" flick hits theaters: Aging action stud John McClane is no worse for the wear and just as ready to rumble as he was back in 1988, when the first film hit theaters.
With Bruce Willis back for the franchise's fifth film, "A Good Day to Die Hard," producer Tom Rothman has made it clear that the butt-kicking star is just as badass as ever.
"[We've] started this week, just started. It's all set in Russia," he told MTV News at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. "Well there's bookend scenes in New York, but it's John McClane, goes to Russia and I think the technical term ... is f---s everything up. And the fun part about it, though, is there's a great moment where he says 'It's good a day as any to die.' "
Sure, McClane is throwing about his signature swag in the film, but Rothman assures fans that the movie also has a lot of heart, courtesy of the relationship between McClane and his son, Jack (played by Jai Courtney).
"He thinks his kid is a screw-up," he explained. "But, in fact, it's the opposite. The kid is more like the father than the father thinks. So it's very, like all the best of the classic 'Die Hards,' very emotionally driven and very kick-ass."
Director John Moore of "Max Payne" and the "Omen" remake is set to helm "Die Hard 5" with Skip Woods penning the script. "A Good Day to Die Hard" is a follow-up to 2007's "Live Free or Die Hard."

"Yeah, I do. Well, you know, I'm being superfluous. I don't want to have one kid. 'Avengers' Already A Smash Overseas
Superhero movie, due Stateside in early May, is already breaking records in foreign markets.

The Avengers have already started to assemble overseas, and early box-office reports are spelling very good things for Marvel's tentpole. The superhero movie that brings together Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the Hulk has reportedly made $12.5 million in a handful of foreign markets and is already breaking records, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In Australia, "The Avengers" has already banked $7 million, a total that has only been beaten by "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," which earned $8 million during its Down Under debut.
The foreign rollout has proven lucrative elsewhere, too, as France added $3 million to the total.
Early tracking estimated that "The Avengers" could make more than $150 million during its early May opening weekend in the U.S. That would put the film in the same class as "Spider-Man 3," "The Hunger Games," "The Dark Knight" and "Deathly Hallows, Part 2."
This could potentially mean the biggest debut for a Marvel Studios movie yet. "Iron Man 2" currently holds that honor. The Robert Downey Jr. sequel opened to $128 million back in 2010. That's followed by the first "Iron Man" at $98 million.
"The Avengers" has the added advantage of higher ticket prices. The film is playing both in 3-D and in IMAX 3-D, so each individual ticket will add more to the final total. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" saw a large bump in its record-breaking run thanks in part to higher prices attached to 3-D showings.

Mixing his signature bachata flair with some R&B, he is showing fans a whole new side on his debut album, <i>Formula, Vol. 1.</i> </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Romeo Breaks Into Mainstream With Lil Wayne" id="vid:734074" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>Hoping to spread his unique sound and style to a mainstream audience, Santos enlisted <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lil_wayne/artist.jhtml">Lil Wayne</a> for his latest single, "All Aboard." </P><P> </P><P>"This song 'All Aboard,' that tune allowed me to expand and kind of offer my audience something totally different because it's not bachata — I'm singing English and that was really fun," Santos recently told MTV News. "I was a little nervous about that, but people actually really accepted it." </P><P> </P><P>Santos and Weezy recently shot the video for "All Aboard" in Miami; he called the clip "sexy," "seductive" and "elegant," but also revealed that this collaboration came very close to not making his album. </P><P> </P><P>"I was just like, I like the song but it's missing something, and at first I couldn't figure out what it was," Santos said. "What we did was we left 16 bars open, and I was like, you know, who would rip this track? Lil Wayne. So we reached out. It barely made the album because he's a busy dude, so he actually got on the record two months after we submitted it. It was like, if we don't get his vocals in the next two days we hit, and we got it, so we made it and the song is just really great." </P><P> </P><P>Wayne isn't the only artist Santos pulled in for his album. On his last single, "Promise," he teamed up with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>, who last week joined him onstage at <a href="/news/articles/1678993/romeo-santos-solo-tour.jhtml">Santos' first of three sold-out shows</a> at New York's Madison Square Garden. </P><P> </P><P>"I felt at that moment once again I was going to revolutionize bachata 'cause it was the first time that you hear an artist from the mainstream singing bachata," Santos said. Usher Makes Fans 'Scream' With New Dance Single

On attending first concert
It was a Whitney Houston concert and Brandy cried when she finally saw and heard her. She was taken aback by all the people watching Whitney in amazement and knew right then that's what she wanted to do. Brandy said she knew she would become a star herself because she didn't want anything else.
On her big break
Execs at Atlantic Records listened to her demo and offered her a deal at age 13. Brandy's mother, Sonja (pictured above), quit her job to become her full time manager. Her mother, (who is known in the industry as the ultimate stage mom), wanted to make sure every aspect of Brandy career was handled perfectly. Her debut single "Wanna Be Down" took over the charts in 1994 and her debut self-titled album went quadruple platinum and boasted 10 top singles. brandy's team wanted to keep up her image as a clean cut, perfect American girl. She was soon on top of the game with music, awards & concerts.
On her controversial relationship with Wanya Morris
Wanya called her when she was just 15 (he was 21) saying he wanted her to accompany Boyz II Men on their tour. Brandy fell in love with him, but wasn't allowed to date because she was too young. When B & Wanya shot their duet "Brokenhearted" in '95, she finally got up the courage to tell him she loved him. The relationship blossomed into official coupledom and real love. Brandy's management was unhappy about how a relationship with a much older man would affect her squeaky clean image. So Brandy & Wanya continued with a secret relationship and blatantly lied to the public about it. With all the secrecy--it took a toll and Wanya fell in love with someone else. At 18, Brandy was heartbroken and crushed…leading to her writing second hit album, Never Say Never, with Rodney Jerkins. The song "Tomorrow" was completely about Wanya. "The Boy Is Mine" and 5 other singles were #1's. As well as the whole album. And her first ever Grammy was for her and Monica's history making collabo "The Boy Is Mine."
On her show "Moesha"
Was offered the show based on her own persona. Moesha was a perfect girl making straight A's and going through everyday teen life. Was the perfect synergy for her.
On becoming the first African American princess of Disney
Brandy's idol Whitney Houston cast Brandy in the Disney remake of Cinderella. Brandy commented that she gave her the opportunity to be the first African American princess and she was so cool and down to earth. And one of the brightest lights she'd ever seen. B revealed she still has all 6 Barbie dolls created in her image based off the tv movie. She broke a color barrier by having the Disney role, Barbie dolls & the like.
On her eating disorder as a teen
At 19, Brandy revealed she stopped eating properly and suffered from bulimia and anorexia. Everyone thought she was perfect on the outside with her career being on top, but she was the unhappiest teenager in the world. "People don't understand that being the hottest star or making the most money does not mean anything. I'm here to tell you I was making so much money - I was omnipresent - and I was the unhappiest teenager probably in the world."
She decided to just become the skinniest possible person she could be in her struggle and obsession with perfection. And it took a toll on her health.
On her controversial pregnancy & fake marriage
She returned to studio to do her 3rd album, Full Moon, with Rodney Jerkins again. She worked alongside music producer Robert Smith as well, and started to fall for him. She found herself unexpectedly pregnant with Robert's child, and that wasn't "ok" for the Brandy brand. Brandy remarked that it's a sin to get pregnant out of wedlock in her family, based on their christian background and beliefs. "Everybody around me tried to force me to get married, so why don't I just say I'm married. Because I don't want to get married. It's the biggest mistake I've ever made."
She blatantly lied to the media saying she & Robert had secretly gotten married in the summer and would keep the time and place secret and personal. She did an MTV special called "Brandy's Special Delivery," which followed her last month of pregnancy until her daughter Sy'Rai was born. At one point, Robert felt Brandy had gone into too much detail tot he media about the problems they were having as a couple. So Robert went on Wendy Williams' radio show to expose their fake marriage saying it never happened. Everyone around Brandy told her not to own up to it and to not address it. And the entire situation devastated her career and her fans. "The lie abut being married was the fall of my career. Everything changed." Brandy has never addressed or fessed up to lying about the marriage until this "Behind The Music" episode.
On changing her music direction to more sexy on Aphrodisiac
Brandy said she felt totally awkward doing this "sexy phase" and it just wasn't believable. The album was a flop.
On that fatal accident on the 405
Brandy slammed into a car from the back while on the L.A. interstate, while going 65 mph, and it caused a huge pile up. A mother of 2 was killed. And she couldn't handle the blame. "Whether it was my fault or not, I was still involved." People called a murderer and it was difficult handling all the criticism. "I didn't wake up that day to get involved in a fatal car crash."
There was insufficient evidence to charge her with any crime. She said she gets hurt when people still gossip about it and try to hurt her.
On 5th album Human
On this LP, Brandy channeled all of her hurt and past experiences. It was her way of apologizing for her past mistakes and she wanted to reconnect with her purpose.
On her big 2010-2012 comeback & gaining control
She signed on for "DWTS and opened her life on the VH1 reality show "The Family Business". Her mother Sonya stepped down as her manager after 20 years. Brandy signed a new deal with RCA and started recording her new album (now titled Two Eleven). She also reunited with old friend Monica on "It All Belongs to Me."
On her final days with Whitney Houston
Brandy & Monica were prepping to perform on stage for Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party. Whitney came to their soundcheck and told them to tell the legendary Ricky Minor to turn the band down because she couldn't hear them! Brandy thought it was so cute and that was the last time she saw her. Sonya told her 2 days after that Whitney was dead, and her heart left her body. Attended Whitney's funeral on Feb 18th. "I genuinely loved her so much."
On Whitney Houston's death
Whitney died on Brandy's birthday, which Brandy said made her feel like she now has a responsibility to do Whitney wants her to do--stay an inspiration and a light. "She gave me so much. She gave me a dream."
On her new love, music exec Ryan Press
"I am very much in love. In a divine love. If he's not the one, then I am done with love honey. So he better act right."

Justin Bieber Reveals Believe Release Date On 'The Voice'

<P>If you tuned into Tuesday night's (April 17) episode of <a href="/news/articles/1683242/voice-maroon-5-wiz-khalifa.jhtml">"The Voice,"</a> then you caught a roller-coaster episode, with <a href="/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> teasing his "Boyfriend" video and announcing that his new album, <i>Believe,</i> will hit stores June 19 and two more competitors biting the dust. </P><P> </P><P>Rocking a simple jacket, jeans and gold pendent, a charismatic Bieber was welcomed to the "Voice" stage with overwhelming applause. "I'm really happy to be here, and I think you guys are going to really love the video," he told host Carson Daly of the "Boyfriend" sneak peek. </P><P> </P><P>In the clip, Bieber is seen whispering the slick tune to a girl as shots of an icy realm flash. With a guitar in hand, the singer strikes a pose before a gleaming white sphere. And it was nothing but a relief for Chris Mann (Team Christina) and Jermaine Paul (Team Blake) when they were revealed as the highest voted of the week. </P><P> </P><P>Shortly after the commercial break, Team Christina's Ashley De La Rosa and Lindsey Pavao went head-to-head, causing Miss Aguilera to shed some tears. While De La Rosa took on Lady Gaga's "Yoü and I," it was Pavao's magic that turned Mike Posner's "Please Don't Go" into a soothing slow jam and advanced her to the next round. Afterward, Erin Willett and RaeLynn were the remaining duo left to duke it out on Team Blake. RaeLynn tried to do her best with the Band Perry's "If I Die Young," but ultimately Blake favored Willett's energetic take on Ike and Tina Turner's "Proud Mary." </P><P> </P><P>If JB didn't make the females in the audience swoon enough, boy-band phenomenon the Wanted riled up the rest of the gals as they performed their <a href="/news/articles/1683240/the-wanted-chasing-the-sun-video-set.jhtml">new single "Chasing the Sun."</a> Unleashing a crew of dancers, the five-member act also shared the stage with Team Blake. Beyonce 'Committed' To Wearing Heels Until Giving Birth
'It makes me laugh thinking about it,' singer tells People of her pre-baby beauty regime.

Beyoncé loves her some heels. In the days leading up to the birth of her baby, Blue Ivy, Queen B was spotted around New York with her hubby, Jay-Z, and her stilettos. People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman has opened up about wanting to stay as glam as possible, right up until she went into labor.
"I didn't feel that I looked beautiful during birth — but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight, with my swollen lips and cheeks, I barely recognized myself," she said in the issue hitting newsstands Friday, Pressparty.com reports. "I tried my best to roller-set my hair and I wore my [lip] gloss when I arrived at the hospital."
But all of that hard work went out the window once the really hard work of having the baby kicked in. "I committed to the end and wore my kitten heels. It makes me laugh thinking about it," she recalled. "But after many hours of labor, I didn't care how I looked. It was all about the miracle that God gave me — the opportunity to deliver a human being."
Beyoncé may not have felt hot in the hospital, but fans were certainly surprised by how hot she looked for her first post-baby appearance, hitting the New York party scene to celebrate Jay-Z's Carnegie Hall shows in February, weeks after giving birth. The singer herself was surprised by how quickly she managed to look so good.
"I'm proud that my waist came back so fast. ... I had to get my tone back. I'm definitely softer," she said. "But I feel my body bouncing back. Whatever was tight and muscular, like my legs, I'm seeing it come back. You just have to work at it."
Beyoncé will return to the stage next month for several shows in Atlantic City. She's also reportedly working on new music to follow up 2011's 4.
