It?s one of the most anticipated movies in recent memory, and ?The Hunger Games? premiered the official trailer on ?Good Morning America? today (November 14).
The forthcoming film, set to hit theaters on March 23, 2012, stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, and Woody Harrelson.
?The Hunger Games? is set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television. Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) volunteers to take her younger sister?s place for the latest match.
Earlier this year, ?The Hunger Games? showed its first clip of Katniss running through the woods during the MTV Video Music Awards.
The official trailer was introduced by Josh Hutcherson and also played on a jumbotron over Times Square in New York City.
