Justin Bieber Inspired By Michael Jackson For 'As Long As You Love Me' Clip

Singer tweets about the King of Pop's influence on his new video.

On Wednesday, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> dropped his cinematic clip for his track <a href="/news/articles/1690963/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-music-video-premiere.jhtml">"As Long as You Love Me."</a> Heavy on drama and celebrity cameos, the video follows a lovelorn Bieber as he fights actor Michael Madsen for the right to hang out with his daughter, his one true love.<object width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="embeddedPlayer" data="http://videoplayer.vevo.com/embed/embedded" style="visibility: visible;"><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><param name="flashvars" value="playerType=embedded&videoId=USUV71201064&playlist=false&enableDomScan=true&siteSection=MTV_mtv.com&playerId=62FF0A5C-0D9E-4AC1-AF04-1D9E97EE3961&autoplay=0&endScreen=play&cc=US&cultureName=en-US&cultureIsRTL=False&sbId=14A00605-7DB5-4492-B67B-CB2093BD89DD"></object>In addition to the Baz Luhrmann-inspired Hawaiian shirts and "Romeo and Juliet" story line, Bieber takes a few punches and slings some sassy lines at Madsen. His pal Big Sean also makes an appearance in the clip. And if fans were wondering what and who influenced the video, Bieber took to <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">Twitter</a> hours after the premiere to shout out his hero, Michael Jackson, for helping him step up his music-video game."MJ told stories with his videos. I wanted to tell a story. Feel like a movie. #AsLongAsYouLoveMe," he wrote, showing some love to the master. He later added, "Push the limits. Fight for what you BELIEVE in."As of Wednesday night, Bieber was astounded that his video had amassed more than 1 million views in less than 10 hours. But that number nearly quadrupled on Thursday morning — as of press time, the video had almost 4 million streams.Bieber is not only feeling the love for his <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">"ALAYM" video</a> but also for his "Boyfriend" video, which just received two <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/">2012 MTV Video Music Award</a> nominations for <a href="/news/articles/1690978/rihanna-only-girl-best-pop-video-video-music-awards.jhtml">Best Pop Video</a> and Best Male Video. Bieber goes into the September 6 broadcast already a two-time VMA winner. He'll learn if he can take home another one when the show goes live from the Staples Center.The VMAs take place just weeks before Bieber kicks off his sold-out <a href="/news/articles/1688265/justin-bieber-after-believe.jhtml">Believe tour</a>, which coincidentally will also be heavily influenced by the King of Pop."He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s," his manager Scooter Braun shared. "And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level."It's just really exciting," Braun continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."

Katherine Jackson Removed As Guardian of Michael Jackson's Children

Cousin TJ Jackson is appointed temporary guardian of Michael's kids.

The unpredictable wheel of Jackson family drama continued to spin on Wednesday (July 25) when a judge stripped family matriarch Katherine of her guardianship of the late King of Pop Michael's three children, handing over the duties to their cousin, TJ Jackson.After nearly a week of increasingly bizarre public feuding, accusations, <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/07/25/fight-details-janet-and-paris-jackson/">confrontations</a> and <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/07/24/fight-between-janet-and-paris-jackson-kidnapping-allegations/">allegations of kidnapping</a>, <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/25/jackson-family-emergency-guardianship-hearing-katherine-jackson-tj-randy-michael-jackson-kids-custody/" target="_blank">TMZ</a> reported that Judge Mitch Beckloff temporarily stripped Katherine of her guardianship over Paris, Prince and Prince Michael II ("Blanket").He appointed TJ, 34, son of Tito Jackson, as the new guardian for the children, who appear to be at the center of a tug-of-war between the Michael's adult siblings. During an emergency guardianship hearing, Beckloff did not suspend Katherine for any wrongdoing, but said that she was being blocked from carrying out her guardianship by unnamed third parties, which the site speculated were siblings Randy, Janet, Jermaine and Rebbie.Beckloff reportedly advised TJ and his lawyer to seek a permanent guardianship agreement following stories that Katherine, 82, was being held against her will by the same unidentified "third parties." During the hearing, TJ's lawyer described to the judge a strange phone call his client got from Katherine on Tuesday. "I've never heard my grandmother talk like that," TJ said, adding that she didn't sound "sharp" and that her "pauses, choice of vocabulary ... she has not used certain phrases like that before." He suspected she was talking in code.Katherine Jackson called home on Tuesday after being out of touch for nine days, according to her lawyer. She had asked TJ to watch the children for her when she left her home on July 15.In an unexpected twist, TMZ reported that one of Katherine's own lawyers, Sandra Ribera, said she had visited the family compound recently and also believes that her client is being held against her will. Katherine's other lawyer, Perry Sanders, said in court that he vigorously opposes a permanent move to strip Katherine of her guardianship and that when she returns to Los Angeles he will file a motion to reinstate her as guardian. <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/25/showbiz/jackson-family-dispute/index.html" target="_blank">CNN</a> reported that after the hearing Sanders said he'd been informed by Randy Jackson that his mother was on a plane headed back to California.Sanders also said the Tuesday night check-in call from Katherine was made after she met with Jermaine and Janet Jackson at a spa near Tucson, Arizona. He was barred, however, from meeting with her or talking to her at that time.The judge also ordered that the children not be removed from California without a court order and that backup guardian Diana Ross and Debbie Rowe, biological mother of the two oldest children, also be informed of the order to keep the kids in the state. The move to wrestle guardianship away from the family matriarch was days in coming and allegedly supported by the children, as well as MJ's estate. A spokesperson for the estate had no comment on the actions at press time.The temporary guardianship will be reviewed at a hearing scheduled for next month, where it's possible that Wednesday's action could be reversed.While Michael's will gave Katherine custody of his children and a 20 percent stake in his massive estate, her husband, Joe Jackson, and the eight surviving Jackson siblings were completely cut out. Some of the siblings have reportedly been exploring a move to have the will invalidated by arguing that Michael was in New York on the day that the document was notarized in Los Angeles.In a video that surfaced earlier this week, Janet Jackson is seen trying to take a cell phone away from Paris, 14, and berating her niece for using her phone to tweet about family business. That video leaked after Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson reportedly attempted to persuade Paris and Prince, 15, to leave Katherine's home on Monday. Both resisted and a short time later, sheriff's deputies arrived to break up a scuffle between Randy, Jermaine Jackson and TJ.<a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/07/24/fight-at-michael-jacksons-mother-house-police-called/">MTV News</a> reported that police were called to the scene but did not make any arrests.

Lady Gaga Previews New Song From Car In New York

Sitting in her car, she played a new track off her forthcoming album for gathered fans.In barely audible footage <a href="http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a394632/lady-gaga-plays-new-track-on-car-stereo-for-fans-in-new-york.html" target="_blank">posted</a> online, the dance track plays in the background — the majority of what is heard in the video is the club-banging beat. Gaga sits in the backseat of an SUV as fans call the track "amazing." The 38-second clip ends with the Mother Monster driving away from her fans.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div>Shortly after the encounter, fans began tweeting about meeting the singer and getting the preview. One fan <a href="http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a394632/lady-gaga-plays-new-track-on-car-stereo-for-fans-in-new-york.html" target="_blank">wrote</a>, "Just met GaGa! She was playing a song from her new album! ... It was a very heavy dance/club song! The beat was f---ing insane!"Another person who was there said that the song might end up being the first released off Gaga's forthcoming album. "I asked her if it was the new single she looked at me and shook her head yes and said shhhhh," the fan <a href="http://www.mtv.co.uk/news/lady-gaga/360229-lady-gaga-leaks-track-fans-new-york-city" target="_blank">tweeted</a>.Gaga will reveal the name of her <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">new album in September</a>. Last week she hinted that the first song off the LP is produced by longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow, who worked with Gaga on Born This Way singles "Born This Way" and "The Edge of Glory."While fans might have to wait a little longer to hear more of this new track, Gaga has been playing a song called "Princess Die" while on tour. If this new untitled track is any indication, <a href="/news/articles/1689212/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">Gaga is focusing</a> on making pure dance music, something she implied while out on the road."Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote Born This Way, I demonstrated a sense of maturity," she said. Marilyn Manson Has 'A Hard Time Liking' Lady Gaga's Music

In a new interview, Manson says while he 'appreciates' Gaga, he's not exactly a fan of her music.

Marilyn Manson can get down with pretty much anything — <a href="http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Phantasmagoria:_The_Visions_of_Lewis_Carroll" target="_blank">Lewis Carroll</a>, <a href="/news/articles/1649632/eastbound-amp-down-star-gets-weird-e-mails-from-marilyn-manson.jhtml">"Eastbound & Down,"</a> corsets, all manner of debauched darkness — but he apparently draws the line when it comes to Lady Gaga's music.In a new interview with U.K. website <a href="http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a393945/marilyn-manson-on-lady-gaga-i-have-a-hard-time-liking-her-music.html" target="_blank">Digital Spy</a>, Manson was asked about Gaga's stage show and the influence his two-decade career seems to have had on it. And though he admitted he "appreciates" Gaga — who, it should be noted, is a fan and has even featured Manson on a remix of her hit "Love Game" — he's not about to add her to his Spotify playlist anytime soon. Though, surprisingly, he will jam some Kylie if the situation demands it."I like the general idea of what she's about. I have a hard time liking her music; it's just not the style of music I like," Manson said. "And I like a lot of music that is in that vein; I like Kylie Minogue sometimes ... I like Justin Timberlake over Lady Gaga, just musically."And while Manson was quick to add that he's not taking shots at Gaga, he did take issue with her ever-evolving look, saying he prefers to remain loyal to his roots."I prefer the Salvador Dalí approach, where you stick to one great thing that you're great at, and you do a lot of eccentric, different elements to your imagination. For me, I paint, or I'll do a movie or perform, but at the same time, I don't try to have a different look every single moment," he said. "I think it's more ephemeral, because people like to identify with one single thing; but I'm not one to knock her, she's obviously succeeded in what she's done."Still, as far as beefs go, this one is pretty tame, and Manson ended his diatribe by once again saying his only issue with Gaga has nothing to do with the Mother Monster herself; it's the music, pure and simple."It's not exactly the type of thing that I'd find myself listening to," he said. "That doesn't mean I don't like her."
